Hi, my name is Angelina Veni, a freshman at Stanford University. I’m originally from Indonesia and also a proud alumna of SMAK 1 Penabur Jakarta.

My main interest is programming – as a high school student, I represented my country to International Olympiad in Informatics at Bulgaria, where I earned a silver. I ranked first nationally throughout the nation-wide qualifications and also became the first female representative ever in the Indonesian team. At Stanford, I’m considering to take Computer Science or Symbolic System Program.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing badminton, listening music and reading books. I’m an old soul at heart – my iTunes library consists of mostly 60s-80s songs. I have a rather diverse preference of music; I like Queen, Broadway musicals’ songs, X Japan(Japanese metal band) and country acts like Rascal Flatts. I took The Beatles to the next level though – its songs fill my days and its way of life highly influences mine.

My screenname, lennie2nd, stood for Mr. John Lennon, someone I looked up to as a teenager and someone I respect until now.  Lennon is not my favorite Beatle by any means – to quote Steve Jobs, this band is truly an example of ‘the total was greater than the sum of its parts’.
